Dear Brother,

I am appealing to you on behalf of the Al Huda Educational Society of Ayrshire in Kilmarnock, UK. We will be much obliged if you would allow our representitves to visit your Mosque in London one Friday in August and help us in collection of funds for purpose of buidling the First Mosque in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire

Al Huda has been trying to find a place for an Islamic Educational & Mosque building for the past 10 years. First we tried to secure a piece of land/building through East Ayrshire Council with no result and finally through our own efforts have found an ex public house for sale. This will be ideal Insha’Allah after some renovations to the building.

Kilmarnock is a small town on the west coast of Scotland with an approximate population of 200 Members of Al-Huda. There are about 1300 Muslim families in and around Ayrshire. The nearest Mosque is in the Glasgow. This is far to travel for local workers and the old and disabled so establishment of a Mosque in Kilmarnock is essential for the Muslims of Ayrshire. This will be the first Mosque in Ayrshire.
For many years we have been using a local church hall for the purpose of Juma Prayers and by the grace of Allah approximately 50 to 70 attend Juma Prayers. Now we are in desperate need of a place of our own where we can establish regular Salat, five times a day and a place where we can teach our next generation of children and newly converted Muslims the teaching the Holy Quran and Hadith .

We are a registered charity and have approximately £100,000 in our account BUT to purchase the ex public house we require £250,000 in total this will allow us funds for renovation as well. After the refurbishment it will became an excellent facility for the local Muslim community in Kilmarnock and Ayrshire. The Mosque building will include a separate space for a prayer area for ladies including ablution area and toilet facility. A classroom for the children and in future we plan to provide facility for Janaza Salah/Ghusl and we have applied to the local council for a Muslim Cemetery

Therefore, on behalf of the Al Huda Educational Society of Kilmarnock, we appeal to our Muslim brother to give a generous donation or guide us to support the building of the first Mosque in Ayrshire. Surely, you shall be rewarded for this bequest when you need it most – in the life hereafter.
