Shaykh Habib Ali al-Jifri, Shaykh Abdul Hakim Murad and Moez Masoud

It is a great pleasure to announce that Shaykh Habib Ali al-Jifri (Yemen), Shaykh Abdul Hakim Murad (T J Winter) (UK) and Moez Masoud (Egypt) will be delivering their lectures at Leeds Makkah Masjid on Saturday17th December 2005 after Maghrib prayer. Maghrib prayer will be performed approximately at 3:50pm). You do not need to buy tickets for this event. Admission to the Masjid is, of course, free. Makkah Masjid Makkah Masjid is a purpose built Masjid that was opened in August 2003. It is a three storey building, with the lower floor dedicated specifically for sisters’ use. The Masjid has a total capacity of approximately 3000. For this event, brothers will be accommodated in two large halls on the ground and upper floor. Map for Leeds Makkah Masjid Very good facilities are provided for sisters For the event on Saturday17th December, the sisters will have use of the lower floor. There is a separate side entrance which leads directly to the sisters’area. There will be an overall capacity of 1000 for sisters, insha-Allah. There will, insha-Allah, be a video link showing the event as it happens. There is a larger front hall, and a smaller rear hall. There is also an adjacent hall usually used for dining, and this area will be available for sisters to use if required. It is proposed that sisters who have young children with them should sit in the rear hall. Please note we are unable to provide specific creche facilities. Shaykh Hamza Yusuf

It is a great pleasure to announce that Shaykh Hamza Yusuf will be delivering a lecture at Leeds Makkah Masjid on 18th September 2005. Programme will start at 2pm and end around 4pm (zuhr prayer will be performed at 1:30pm). Free Entrance You do not need to buy tickets for this event. Admission to the masjid is, of course, free. However any help towards the cost of organising the event would be much appreciated. To make your donations, you can either donate on the day, write a cheque or pay through paypal. Although we do have good capacity to accommodate sisters, we would advise everyone (including brothers) to please arrive as early as possible to facilitate entry into the masjid. Doors will be opening at 12:30 pm insha Allah.
