Community Iftar Dinner
In the spirit of the fasting month of Ramadan, we Leeds Muslim Council cordially invite whole of community of Leeds to share a meal with us at Leeds Makkah Mosque. This meal, called Iftar, is conducted after sunset and breaks the Muslims’ day long fast.
Please join us for this Iftar on Saturday, 27th September 2008. The program starts at 6pm with a short welcome and talk, with the opportunity to ask questions about fasting and the month of Ramadan.
There will then be a tour of the mosque and a brief explanation of the stunning calligraphy and art work inside the mosque.
The iftar dinner will be served at 7pm
We look forward to seeing you then.

I attended the Community Iftar dinner on 27 September 2008. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The question and answer session was very enlightening. It was wonderful to listen to the Imam - very knowledgeable and someone with an engaging personality and a sense of humour too. He is someone everyone - Muslim and non-Muslim alike can relate to. It was incredibly refreshing and uplifting. THANK YOU for a most interesting and enlightening evening. May God bless you all.

The Iftar dinner was a really good way breaking down the barriers. Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to visit the mosque.

I attended the Community Iftar dinner and I was amazed to see so many people from different backgrounds and faiths listening to the Imam talking about Islam. The Imam really manages to connect with people. May Allah preserve him.
