Follwing is a great couplet from the poetry of Maulana Jami, a great poet of the Holy Prophet.
O Messenger of God! If only like the dog of the Companions of the Cave,
I could be in Paradise among your Companions.
Is it right that their dog is in Paradise while I am in Hell?
He was the dog of those Companions; I am the dog of yours!
The above couplet reminds of another great verse which goes seomthing like;
Oh Holy Prophet, would that your dog was called Jami
You would call for your dog and I would come running.
Can we have the same level of love for the Holy Prophet as Maulana Jami had????

My body is dissolving in your separation
And my soul is breaking into pieces. Ya Rasul Allah!صلي الله عليه و سلم
Due to my sins, My heart is weak and becoming enticed. Ya Rasul Allah!

Choon Soo’e Mun Guzar Aari
Manne Miskeen Zanaa Daari
Fida-E-Naqsh-E-Nalainat

When you pass by me
Then even in my immense poverty, ecstatically,

Ba Zanjeere To Dil Bustam
Nu’mi Goyam Ke Mun Bustum
Sukun Daa. Ya Rasul Allah صلي الله عليه و سلم!
I am drowned in the taste of your love
And the chain of your love binds my heart.
Yet I don’t say that I know this language (of love). Ya Rasul Allah

Ze Kharda Khaish Hairaanam
Siyaa Shud Roze Isyaanam
Pashemaanam, Pashemaanam, Pashemaanam. Ya Rasul Allah صلي الله عليه و سلم!
I am worried due to my misdeeds;
And I feel that my sins have blackened my heart. Ya Rasul Allah!

Choon Baazoo’e Shafaa’at Raa
Khushaa’I Bar Gunaagara
Makun Mahruume Jaami Raa
Daraa Aan. Ya Rasul Allah صلي الله عليه و سلم!
Ya Rasul Allah صلي الله عليه و سلم! When you spread your hands to intercede for the sinners,
Then do not deprive Jaami of your exalted intercession.

I just wonder if i would have been your dog
How pleased i would have been with myself
I would have been quietly sitting by your feet
while you would have been writting words of enconium for PROPHET MUHAMMAD(sal lal la hu allai hi vasalam)

really i,hv no words to say even a single word in the glory of Hazrat ABDUL REHMAN JAMI (R.A)
He is the soul of eternity (no doubt) he is the real syllabus of ishq-e-MOHAMMADIA (S-A-W-W)
Jami is “ishq’ and ishq is “Jami”
That,s it . . .
